Can anything other than lipo suck away your cellulite?

Can anything other than lipo suck away your cellulite? Andrea Wren turns to Chinese Medicine's 'cupping' method in the hope of a non-invasive cure

Cellulite describes the fat deposits under the skin that give the 'orange-peel' appearance. Diet, lifestyle factors, pregnancy and exercise can all help or hinder. Simple genetics can also mean some of us just have it, whatever we do. Can it be eradicated with cupping? Cupping therapy isn't a 'new' discovery. 'The oldest recorded medical textbook, written in approximately 1550 BC in Egypt, mentions cupping,' says Clinton Sandall, practitioner and instructor of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In the 21st century maybe cupping can be one tip to lose cellulite quickly

The three worst foods for your diet

1. French Fries

One small order of salted French fries cooked in vegetable oil contains 3.7 g of trans fat, 165 mg of sodium and 14.5 g of total fat. One small order of French fries exceeds the daily recommended trans fat maximum. Another potential health issue with French fires is the presence of a byproduct called arcylamide. Acrylamide is formed when carbohydrate-rich foods such as French fries are cooked or fried at high temperatures. Swedish researchers have found acrylamide in high doses causes cancer in non-human subjects.

2. Doughnuts

Not only are doughnuts fried, but they are often made from nutrient deficient white flour. Doughnuts are often fried with unhealthy cooking oils, which results in high trans and saturated fat content. Doughnuts from eateries and packaged brands contain up to 4 g of trans fat. If you recall the daily recommended Trans fat amount is less than 2 g. Admittedly, it’s hard eating just one doughnut due to the tasty varieties that are available, but keep in mind eating just one doughnut will no doubt put you over the daily recommended maximum. Not to mention, doughnuts contain an estimated 300 calories per serving (1 doughnut).

3. Fried Chicken

Like French fries, fried chicken is a popular fast food item that makes for a tasty and convenient meal. Unfortunately, many of the fried and breaded chicken are cooked in trans fat laden oils, vastly increasing the amount of trans fat the fried food will contain. Fried chicken may contain up to 8 g of trans fat; that is four times the daily recommended value.

Running the risk: It can cause cellulite, heart attacks and joint strain - is it time to stop jogging?

For many years, running has seemed the ideal form of exercise. It improves your fitness levels and the health of your heart. It boosts your metabolism and can help you lose weight.  It costs nothing - after the initial outlay on a decent pair of trainers - and can be done anywhere. Since jogging became popular in the late Seventies, running has often been promoted as a panacea for a range of health issues. But is running really all it's cracked up to be? Greg Brookes, a London-based personal trainer with a clientele that ranges from celebrities and City high-fliers to housewives, has come up with a list of seven deadly sins as far as running is concerned.

Fat Cellulite Three Easy Ways to Get Rid Of It

According to Wayne Westocott, PhD and co-author of No More Cellulite, the best way to combat unwanted lumps is through reducing stress and regulating your hormones with a healthy, whole foods-based diet (no white sugar, flour or saturated fat) and exercise.

Cardio + strength training = no more cellulite. While cardiovascular exercise works the heart, lungs and burns calories, strength training builds muscles that help youburn calories even after you stop exercising.
